Alice Update

Good Morning!

Well here is the latest on little Alice and us.
We are now past the 19 week mark, so almost halfway there!
She is kicking a lot, and so much fun as it is getting stronger.
Since we have found out that it's a girl I have been so excited to get going on her nursery.
We have decided on the Uptown Crib, and now looking at gliders and changing tables. Also we have picked out some floral curtains for her and now just looking for a great piece of faux taxidermy for one wall. I found a trio of felt ones by roost, but ever where I have looked they are sold out! Anyone know where else I can find them?

Well here is some update on me, I finally finished the filming for "Chopped" on Food Network on Wednesday! It will air sometime next year, I am in season 11 episode 6, so please stay tuned so you can watch! I can't tell you how it went, so you will just have to watch it when it airs! Alice was cheering me on the whole time by kicking in front of the judges, thanks Alice!
Other than being tired from filming, I still am having a great pregnancy.
As for Nic, he loves buying her little things, she already has tons of shoes!
I know we are super excited about coming to visit Texas in August! Excited to show everyone how much she is growing, plus we miss our friends and family!

I guess that is all for now, I will try and post all the things we are buying for her room, to give an idea of what it is looking like.

XOXO,

BABY KICKS!

Well from everything I read, they say you start to feel your baby move around this time, but is more difficult for first time moms.  They say that because we are not sure what we are feeling, could be gas, hunger, or the baby.  Not sure, but today I was laying on the bed on my stomach (lightly, can't really lay on it, usually on my side) and little pops, below my belly button.  Can I take that as the baby?!  Little popcorns, just a few times, but I would like to think it's the baby!

Less than a week until we find out the sex! Hurry days so we know! I am dying to find out!!!

Anyways, today feels like a very exciting day and glad to share it with all!
Plus, baby bump is growing quite rapidly! No hiding it anymore, I think we will have a very big baby! (Nic was almost 10 lbs!)

4 MONTHS!

Sorry it has been awhile since I have posted anything, but your wait is over! What a day to bring in my fourth month, with a hopeful Mavericks win tonight! A little chilly here, so I made us a big pot of Chicken Tortilla Soup and now we are watching the game.

Baby news
Like I said four months! We have made the appointment to find out the sex on Tuesday, June 14.  I am pretty sure it is a boy and highly doubt that I will be wrong, but we need your help.
We would love to tell our parents in an interesting way, like some people are sending cakes and the icing in the middle is blue or pink. My mom suggested a scavenger hunt via the internet, which is great, but I think it would be very short. Since we are in Brooklyn and all grandparents are in Dallas, we have to be creative, so please give us your ideas!! We just blurted out we were pregnant the night we found out, we couldn't keep it to ourselves, so this is us making up for it.

As I am writting this, having my cup of soup, I have to say..... DAMN, I'm good. It is so delicious, I wish I could share it with all of you!

Also how I am doing with this baby thing is great, still no problems, but  this getting bigger thing can be defeating. Shopping for clothes is hard, because I am so in between right now, showing but I just look
like I need to diet. Nic is great support, but guys are guys and just tells me how beautiful I am and that he loves me.  Of course I want more, but I do not know what it is! I guess that adorable baby bump to be present and to wear anything that I put on my body flawlessly! Ha, I know how that goes, so grateful I have Nic.

Nic is very adorable getting ready for baby, we did go try on baby slings the other day. We found a good cloth one from a used store in Williamsburg, last Sunday after we went to the flea market. We went there looking for stuff for the nursery and Nic is getting ideas for what to put in the baby's room. Let's hope Nic will post soon, I will put some pressure on him!

Thanks everyone for following or reading! Please don't forget to give us your ideas on how to reveal the sex!
Oh as for names, what do we think of Dylan Porter?
